We are a team of dedicated people with a mission to make machines intelligent.

Leo van Kampen

Leo van Kampen

President
Electrical Engineer
Founder of Waterloo Controls Inc. (2002)
Founder of Eagle Visions Systems Inc. (2014)
Leo brings a wealth of technical and engineering expertise to solving engineering challenges including vehicle hydraulic controllers, controllers, and sensors. Early successes include wireless control of truck mounted booms and conveyors and more recently devising a solution for sensors to detect electrical field strength around power lines to avoid accidental contact. The ability to pair AI driven vision recognition technology to hydraulically operated robotic arms is a natural extension of Leo’s core competence.

Justin Szoke-Sieswerda

Research Officer
Ph.D. Candidate
Electrical and Computer Engineering University of Western Ontario
Justin brings knowledge and expertise in developing computer vision algorithms. His early interest in computer vision started in graduate school and lead to his completion of a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Western Ontario. During his master’s degree, he developed a traditional computer vision algorithm for cart recognition that was highly parallelizable. His current research revolves around AI driven computer vision techniques and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D.in this domain. Justin will continue to develop algorithms that will enhance EVS core technology.
